Will there ever be a time when every combination of musical notes has been achieved?

If, yes. Would that mean no new tunes would be written?
Can anyone else help. I really would like some more input – as a non-musician I am intrigued by the flow of new tunes, how do they do it over and over again?

Nah. That’s when we just start spinning stuff backwards.

probably not because we can always make new instruments to make new sounds and have new notes…music is always growing and changing…so probably not…

If by musical notes, you mean the audible sounds that are made. Then no. That would mean that at some point every note would have to be played all at once. I dont see that happening. There are a fintite number of audible sounds so it is definitely possible, but unlikely. Even given the thousands of years that we as a species have been producing sounds (music).
